Hayley, the midwife who delivered my baby was excellent. However the after care at Kings Mill was shocking.Nothing like 2 years ago when I had my first baby. I was discharged without a Doctor seeing me or my baby. (The couple in the next bed were seen by a Doctor.) I was discharged without seeing a physio even though Sue on the ward said my stomach muscles looked very stretched. Sue said I´d need to get my midwife to refer me. She called on several occasions, leaving messages and still I haven´t heard from the physio.(Again the lady in the bed next to me was seen by a physio). I was made to feel like I was a burden for wanting to go to the ward instead of going straight home after the birth. My whole experience with my second baby was ruined.

Attention to detail. All midwives approached my care as a 'normal' person and as a Mum. Not all medical terms and jargon. Very warm and helpful people.

I thought 1:1 care was excellent with my midwife. It would of been nice to have a direct telephone number to her, instead of a number for Kingsmill Hospital.

The midwives were nice to talk to and gave me lots of information with this being my first baby. I felt I could ask any question as my midwife made me feel comfortable.

Very caring, supportive staff in light of having an emergency c-section. Very professional and informative information given about my after care and service available in the area.

My midwife was very approachable, easy to talk to and offered good advice regarding breast feeding. Excellent care.
